Company History and Evolution
The story of Sustainable Alchemist Enterprises is a testament to the power of vision and commitment to societal betterment. Our founder, Tathagata Banerjee, embarked on this transformative journey while pursuing his MBA in 2017-18.
During this time, a spark of innovation ignited as Tathagata and a group of like-minded friends participated in a startup competition, where they showcased innovative ideas centred around how to develop an ecosystem to promote the essence of social responsibility and sustainable development among all. The competition earned them a place in the top three alongside press coverage and book releases, but the real challenge lay ahead.
Upon completing their MBA, while most of his friends went for conventional consulting jobs in MNC companies for a better lifestyle and exposure, Tathagata embarked on a different path. He envisioned a consulting firm that would focus on the grassroots level transforming the social enterprises and NGOs, despite their financial constraints.
In 2019, Sustainable Alchemist Enterprises was born with a singular focus: to champion Sustainable Development, empower communities, and pave the path to a more sustainable future.
The Journey Towards Empowerment
Our journey unfolded step by step, beginning with CSR and EPR consulting for waste management firms. Drawing from Tathagata’s experience and insights, we quickly realized the gap in capabilities within the social enterprise and NGO sector. This realization propelled us to establish our Mercury vertical.
Mercury became the driving force behind optimizing business processes, introducing management techniques, and implementing cutting-edge technologies within these organizations. Our mission was clear: build their capabilities to amplify their impact.
Over time, our expertise expanded into automation and systems design, leading us to create the most affordable, detailed, and flexible Learning Management System for educational institutes called POWER2SCHOOL during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our Polaris vertical designs courses on sustainable development in collaboration with national award-winning social enterprises and well-known educators.
More than just consultants, we are passionate advocates for sustainable development and social responsibility. We actively engage with the community through our Instagram channel, sharing valuable insights and promoting best practices.
