We value the trust you put in us, and to honor that trust Sustainable Alchemist Enterprises (SAE) takes the privacy of our users seriously. SAE has adopted specific information management guidelines for our customer relationships designed to respect the privacy and preferences of our users.

The terms “We” / “Us” / “Our”/”Company”/”SAE” individually and collectively refer to Sustainable Alchemist Enterprises and the terms “You” /”Your” / “Yourself” refer to the users. 

This Privacy Policy is an electronic record in the form of an electronic contract formed under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder and the amended provisions pertaining to electronic documents/records in various statutes as amended by the Information Technology Act, 2000. This Privacy Policy is a legally binding document between you and Sustainable Alchemist Enterprises (both terms defined below). The terms of this Privacy Policy will be effective upon your acceptance of the same (directly or indirectly in electronic form, by clicking on the I accept tab or by use of the website or by other means) and will govern the relationship between you and Sustainable Alchemist Enterprises for your use of the website “Website” (defined below).

This document is published and shall be construed in accordance with the provisions of the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data of information) rules, 2011 under Information Technology Act, 2000; that require publishing of the Privacy Policy for collection, use, storage and transfer of sensitive personal data or information.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and by using the Website, you indicate that you understand, agree and consent to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please refrain from using this Website. 

By providing us your Information or by making use of the facilities provided by the Website, You hereby consent to the collection, storage, processing and transfer of any or all of Your Personal Information and Non-Personal Information by us as specified under this Privacy Policy. Personal Information, Sensitive Personal Information and Associated Information (each as individually defined under this Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011 (the “Data Protection Rules“)) shall collectively be referred to as “Information” in this Policy.

Whenever you visit or interact with the site, we, as well as any third-party advertisers and/or service providers, may use cookies, web beacons, local shared objects (Flash Cookies), or other technologies to automatically or passively collect information about your online activity and website use information.

Please note that we automatically collect the following information about you:

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

2. How Does SAE Use Information About You?

SAE may use the information we collect from and about you for a variety of business purposes, including to:

3. DOES SAE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES?

We do not share your personal information except in the limited circumstances described here. We may share your personal information with: 

  1. Our Affiliates: We may share your information with our affiliates and subsidiaries bearing the “SAE” Business brand for business, operational, promotional and marketing purposes.
  2. Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party service providers that provide business, professional or technical support functions for us (including to the extent necessary or desirable to fulfill or ship your order or complete your transaction), help us operate our business and the website, or administer activities on our behalf.
  3. School/Organisations: If you access our content through an academic curriculum in your school or university, or as a part of organizational training of any corporate/NGOs/Social enterprises we may share personally-identifiable information about your progress, scores, results, logon and logoff times, and similar data with your school/organisation. We do not share this information with any outside entities other than your school/organization.
  4. Selected Advertisers: We sometimes work with advertisers or other third parties to serve ads targeted to your interests, or to collect data for conversion tracking (that is, what actions you take after you click on an ad). We do on occasion provide magazine subscribers’ postal mailing addresses (but not your email address) to selected advertisers who wish to reach you by mail.

Legal Obligations & Safety: We may access and disclose your information to respond to subpoenas, judicial processes, or government requests and investigations, or in connection with an investigation on matters related to public safety, as permitted by law, or otherwise as required by law. We may disclose your information to protect the security of our site, servers, network systems, and databases. We also may disclose your information as necessary, if we believe that there has been a violation of our Terms of Use, any other legal document or contract related to our services, or the rights of any third party.

4. ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

SAE will provide you with the means to ensure that your Personal Information is correct and current. If you have filled out a user profile, it will provide an obvious way for you to access and change your profile from its Application/Services/Website/products. SAE adopts stringent security measures to protect your password from being exposed or disclosed to anyone. Only upon you forgetting the password for its Application/Website or Services, SAE will have a right to reset the same to you with your prior approval as per standard web practices.

5. HOW IS PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURED?

SAE maintains appropriate physical, technical and administrative security to help prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of personal information. While we take these steps to protect your personal information as much as we reasonably can, no system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network, or any storage of data, can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

6. COOKIES

SAE send cookies (small files containing a string of characters) to your computer, thereby uniquely identifying your browser. Cookies are used to track your preferences, help you log in faster, and aggregated to determine user trends. This data is used to improve its offerings, such as providing more content in areas of greater interest to a majority of users.

This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by its Website.

SAE may alert you by email or phone (through sms/call) to inform you about new service offerings or other information which it perceives might be useful for you.

9. PUBLIC FORUMS

When you use certain features on its website like the discussion forums and you post or share your personal information such as comments, messages, files, photos, will be available to all users, and will be in the public domain. All such sharing of information is done at your own risk. Please keep in mind that if you disclose personal information in your profile or when posting on its forums this information may become publicly available.

10. HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their user-id). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

11. WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

13. CHANGES TO THIS STATEMENT

As the Company (Sustainable Alchemist Enterprises) evolves, its privacy policy will need to evolve as well to cover new situations. You are advised to review this Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

14. Your Consent

SAE believes that every user of our Application/Services/Products/Website must be in a position to provide informed consent before providing any Information required for the use of the Application/Services/Products/Website. By registering with it, you are expressly consenting to its collection, processing, storing, disclosing and handling of your information as outlined in this Policy now and as amended by us. Processing, your information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining, sharing, transferring and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in India. If you reside outside India your information will be transferred, processed and stored following the applicable data protection laws of India.

15. GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL
